Research in Software Evolution at UWaterloo
This page is a quick hack to put up some information about some of our
preliminary work. A more elaborate page will follow.
There are a few links of interest:
- The work on the KAC system, done as part of course
work in CS746H in Fall 1998. There is a short
paper about our work that was presented at
SCE'99 titled
"Visualizing Architectural Evolution".
- Work on
understanding the history of the vim text editor (work of John Tran and
Eric Lee). There is paper on this work too
titled "Architecture Analysis and Repair of Open Source Software".
Also, there's a browsable
bookshelf of vim version 5.6.
- Work on understanding the history of the
Linux kernel (work of John Tran,
link forthcoming).
